Sometime in the first century, Matthew, a disciple of Yeshua, composed a biography of Yeshua based on his and his community’s carefully preserved recollections of his life and teaching. Matthew was a Jewish person, probably writing for a Jewish community in North Israel, but too often our modern English translations obscure the vital Jewish context of his great work.
This translation by our friends at Tree of Life restores much of the Jewish character of the original, and we have prepared this illustrated version to help you visualize the story.
